A bill to allow the auctioning off of the old Georgia Golf Hall of Fame site in downtown Augusta (GA) has passed the Georgia House and is expected to be signed into law by the governor after a minor procedural hurdle. The Augusta GreenJackets (Ripken Baseball) have teamed up with the Jacoby Group, a developer, to try and snag the 16-acre riverfront property for a new $38.7 million downtown ballpark.
