New for 2010 at Bowling Green Ballpark

PRESS RELEASE – With Citizens First Opening Day right around the corner, the Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are introducing a variety of new features coming to Bowling Green Ballpark in 2010. These new features will increase fan comfort while providing additional ways for fans to enjoy a game.

“Instead of building a ballpark this year, we’ve been able to augment what we already have,” says Hot Rods General Manager/ CEO Brad Taylor. “Our goal is to make sure that each fan has a great time when they come to a Hot Rods game. These new additions help us to enhance the game day experience.”

The first new features include fan seating and hospitality sections. The Garage is a lounge, located in the team’s original merchandise store, featuring a beer and wine bar, high-top tables, and flat-screen TV’s. To improve the comfort of fans and enhance their picnic experience, a portion of the Home Run Grill will be tented. The center field and right field grass seating areas will both be available to the fans this season and have been branded as the Service One Credit Union Green Seats. Tickets remain five dollars for the Service One Credit Union Green Seats.

A host of new menu options will give fans additional choices when they visit the concession stands. New items include FRITOS® Chili Pie, hamburgers featuring Beer Cheese from Greenwood Spirits & Wine Shoppe, Kentucky barbecue nachos, and a “Healthy Pitch” menu featuring grilled turkey burgers, veggie burgers, and pork chop sandwiches.

Another new feature for the 2010 season is Instant Replay presented by the Law Firm of Flora Templeton Stuart. Fans can now re-live some of the games’ most dramatic and exciting plays on the ballpark’s state-of-the-art, video board in right field.

The Hot Rods are currently counting down the new additions on their Facebook fan page at facebook.com/BGHotRods.

Fans can begin enjoying the new features when the Dayton Dragons, affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, come to town for Citizens First Opening Day on Sunday, April 11, at 5:05 PM. The first 1,000 fans 13 & older will receive an Opening Day T-Shirt courtesy of Citizens First.
