PRESS RELEASE – The Stockton Ports are proud to host a free Fan Fest, presented by 104.1 The Hawk, at Banner Island Ballpark to celebrate the kickoff of the 2010 season on Saturday, April 3 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fans of all ages are invited to attend and enjoy a variety of fun activities.
The Ports will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt in the outfield for children from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a scavenger hunt for fans of all ages from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Fans can also play catch on the field, take some swings in the batting cages and enjoy playing in the bounce house and giant slide in the Bank of Stockton Kids Zone free of charge. Splash the Mascot will be on hand and in Easter Bunny garb for photos and autographs.
Fans can also get a fix for their March Madness fever, as NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament games will be shown in the Comcast Club. Concessions will be available for fans as well, and the Ports will unveil new merchandise in the Team Store.
Additionally, the Ports will launch their season-long Earthquake Relief Fundraiser at the Fan Fest event. The Ports Anchor Fund will be collecting spare change donations during the season for Earthquake Relief, and will send all of the funds raised to the American Red Cross following the end of the 2010 season. The Ports are proud to support relief efforts and encourage their fans to be generous in their donations, as recent Earthquake victims will continue to need support in the coming months.
Members of the Stockton Ports front office will be giving fans tours of the stadium, showing fans the view from the press box, clubhouses and dugouts.
Season ticket holders can also pick up their tickets, and all fans can purchase tickets or find out more information about luxury suites, group outings, group barbecue packages and more during Fan Fest.
