PRESS RELEASE – The West Virginia Power, South Atlantic League Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates announced their 2010 promotional schedule on Monday. The affordability effort taken in 2009 has carried over to the 2010 schedule with several money saving promotions.
Minor League Baseball has attracted over 30 million fans annually by providing wholesome affordable family entertainment and the Power has again committed to taking affordability to the next level. “Last season we released our version of the stimulus plan and this season we will build upon it. We remain committed to West Virginia and recognize the impact that the current economic climate has had on families throughout the region,” said Executive Vice President Andy Milovich. “Great corporate partners and our ownership’s commitment to the community have afforded us the opportunity to become even more price conscious and provide more value to our guests. This is shown through programs such as our Kids Club (a.k.a. Chuck’s Lil’ Bucs) which in the past, while still a great value, has been a paid membership. This year, courtesy of Suddenlink, the Kids Club is a completely free membership and includes a free ticket to every Sunday game along with a few other perks. In addition, the first 1,000 kids to join will receive a free hat. Sundays will also feature Kids Eat Free for all kids 12 and under. The chance for a family to attend a ballgame and pay nothing for tickets or food for their children is an unheard of value.”
