New-Look LumberKings.com Unveiled

PRESS RELEASE – The official website of the Clinton LumberKings has received a facelift. A three-month revamping process shared between the LumberKings’ front office and the design team at Major League Baseball Advanced Media culminates today with the launch of the new LumberKings.com.

The new LumberKings.com includes several new features that bring fans closer to the team, the players and the game. An expanded game center includes live in-game scoring and player information, upcoming schedule, and promotional news. LumberKings.com also has feature areas dedicated to the latest video content and highlights, along with one-click access to social media platforms that gives fans opportunities to directly connect with the LumberKings and other Kings fans. Fans can also easily access the team’s ticket center and view detailed info on upcoming homestands, as well as browse the latest headline news from the LumberKings, Seattle Mariners and Minor League Baseball.

The main heading of the new site is an ode to recent Clinton Baseball history. Six former LumberKings sit in-between the script and Louie logos, all notable Major Leaguers. Jason Bay (New York Mets) and Grady Sizemore (Cleveland Indians) represent the 2001 team, John Danks (Chicago White Sox), Ian Kinsler (Texas Rangers) and Edinson Volquez (Cincinnati Reds) are featured from the 2004 club and Derek Holland (Rangers), just two seasons removed from a 2008 campaign in Clinton, also adorns the masthead.

Patrons of the old site will recognize many of the features still in-tact. As previously, LumberKings.com is the one-stop place to buy tickets and merchandise, find news, game stories, stats, player information and more.

The LumberKings open the 2010 season at Alliant Energy Field on Thursday, April 8 against Peoria. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 PM. For tickets, merchandise and more information, contact the LumberKings’ main office at 563-242-0727 or lumberkings@lumberkings.com.
