The development of a new baseball stadium in Laredo (TX) continued to move forward last night. By a vote of 4-3, the Laredo City Council awarded operating control of the new facility to Ventura Sports Group.
The council selected VSG over Laredo Sports Equities, owners of the United League’s Laredo Broncos. We assume this spells doom for the United League in Laredo, as VSG operates two teams in the American Association and is working on a third in the Houston suburbs.
