PRESS RELEASE – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to release details pertaining to the promotional schedule for the 2010 season. Our 2010 calendar includes a great slate of giveaway items, the largest number of fireworks shows ever at Arvest Ballpark, and a visit by the dancers from “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The Naturals will have fifteen fireworks shows throughout the season at Arvest Ballpark including Opening Day, all Friday home dates, and both Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th. The July 4th fireworks show promises to be one of the largest in Northwest Arkansas and is rapidly becoming a regional tradition here at Arvest Ballpark.
Post-game fireworks will be part of our fridaynightbash™ festivities which also include post-game Launch-A-Ball. The Naturals also plan to bring back the popular “Faith and Family Night” promotion on two Fridays (May 21st and August 20th).
Most Saturday home games will feature giveaways sponsored by our corporate partners. The highlights include a “snuggie” style blanket presented by Western Federal Credit union (Saturday, August 21st), a BBQ Apron styled after our popular blue alternate jersey presented by Tyson Foods (Saturday, May 22nd), a Naturals photo frame giveaway presented by Nickelodeon (Saturday, July 17th) and a back to school lunchbox giveaway presented by CCF Brands (Saturday, August 7th). This season, Saturdays during the summer (June-September) will also feature pre-game live music.
Kids will continue to run the bases after every Sunday home game as part of Nickelodeon Family Sundays, led by members of the Naturals’ “Knothole Gang” sponsored by J.B. Hunt Transport.
The Famous Chicken will return to Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, June 19th and headlines the list of national entertainment acts scheduled to visit Arvest Ballpark this summer. The slate also includes the popular mascot act Zooperstars! (Sunday, July 25th), Birdzerk (Sunday, August 22nd), and a two-day visit from Springdale’s favorite pet pooch, Jake the Diamond Dog (Saturday and Sunday, May 22-23rd).
The visit from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is slated for Saturday, July 24th, perfectly timed for football season a mere two weeks before the Cowboys participate in the NFL’s August 8th exhibition opener, the Hall of Fame Game at Canton, OH.
The Naturals will also hold three SWEPCO School Kids Day games, on Wednesday, May 5th, Tuesday, May 18th, and Wednesday, May 19th, and also have a summertime weekday matinee games planned for Wednesday, June 23rd and Labor Day (Monday, September 6th). The popular “Bark in the Ballpark” sponsored by Del-Monte Pet Prodcuts promotion where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark will be on Sunday, May 23rd.
