Ted Kapnick, a New Yorker who, until recently, was teaching English in Prague, the Czech Republic, wanted to own and operate his own baseball team. Last year, he began exploring ownership opportunities with the summer collegiate West Coast League and targeted Grays Harbor, WA for a team location. He also made contact with the Texas Collegiate League. His dream recently came true, when he settled on the more economical Kitty League and Farmington, MO as the host community for his new franchise — the Farmington Browns.
