PRESS RELEASE – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, conclude the unveiling of the team’s 2010 season promotional schedule with today’s preview of the club’s highly-anticipated fireworks nights and special giveaways as well as the year’s complete promotional slate. A total of 15 fireworks presentations dot the Pelicans schedule with special fan giveaways slated for many dates including every Friday home game.
The team’s fireworks nights begin with the Pelicans’ 2010 home opener April 8 at BB&T Coastal Field against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Special fireworks nights include a show following the 2010 California-Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 22 and, for the second consecutive season and second time in franchise history, after the Pelicans’ Fourth of July home game against the Salem Red Sox.

Giveaway nights are a vital part of the Minor League Baseball experience all across the nation, and the Pelicans have crammed 2010 with exciting giveaways from April through September. Individual game tickets for the 2010 season will go on sale for all of the team’s fireworks and giveaway nights Monday, February 22 at 10 AM.
The Pelicans kick off the 2010 baseball season with the first Thirsty Thursday of the year when they host the Wilmington Blue Rocks on April 8 at BB&T Coastal Field. Ticket packages including Pelicans Flex Books, mini-plans, and season tickets are on sale now along with tickets for the 2010 California-Carolina All-Star Game June 22. The Pelicans will hold their annual FanFest March 6 from 2 to 5 PM at BB&T Coastal Field.
