Desert Valley Mountain Lions Looking for Home

With the Alexandria Aces departing for the Texas Collegiate League, the Continental Baseball League has been left with only two teams with permanent homes — the returning Big Bend (Alpine, TX) Cowboys and the expansion Las Cruces Vaqueros owned by Beach City, Texas, Realtor Andrew Dunn.   A possible entry for 2010 could be the Desert Valley Mountain Lions, which appear to be the second CBL franchise for Dunn, who registered on Valentine’s Day.

Before the Mountain Lions can take the field, they will need to lock in a home park.  The ownership is apparently still considering markets in West Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona.  Eat your heart out, Joe Pa!
