PRESS RELEASE – The Barnstormers have been planning a promotional schedule that would even make Barnstormers broadcaster Dave Collins shout, “The walls will not contain it!” This season the Barnstormers will continue to surprise fans with BRAND NEW and inventive theme nights all season that are sure to be a hit. Each game will be filled with fun and unique activities based around each theme inviting every fan, from blushing brides to man’s best friend, to find a game just for them.Here are some NEW out-of-the-park promotions that have been added to the 2010 lineup:
The Barnstormers will tip their baseball hats to the ones wearing the construction hats. It’s a salute to the construction industry during Bats & Hats Night on Friday, September 17.
So you think you can hymn? Bring your choir out for the Choir Competition on Saturday, June 19.
We’ll be asking fans if it’s Deal or No Deal on Friday, July 9. Get tips from BELCO Community Credit Union on how to be financially responsible.
There will be plenty of future Barnstormers in the crowd on Sunday, May 16 as we host a Salute to Little League Baseball!
We’re not built Ford tough, but we’re built Barnstormers tough. Join us for the return of Truck Night on Saturday, August 21.
Clipper Magazine Stadium will turn into Camp Clipper for our popular Scout Night Sleepovers on Friday, June 18 and Friday, July 30 where hundreds of scouts and their families sleep in the outfield under the stars.
The Dog Days of summer will arrive early at Clipper Magazine Stadium. Bring man’s best friend for a game filled with treats and activities for our favorite tail-waggers on Wednesday, June 23.
The Lancaster Barnstormers are teaming up with Lancaster County schools, Newspapers in Education, Inc. and the Lancaster Lebanon Reading Council to make students lifelong readers. Students who complete the Read with the Barnstormers program are invited to attend a game on Saturday, May 1; Friday, May 14 or Saturday, May 15.
The Barnstormers will show you how easy it is to help the environment during Go Green Night on Saturday, June 5.
Leave your honey-do list at home and come to the ballpark for Guys Night on Thursday, July 8. Guys can enjoy a night out with their buddies and flex their stomach muscles in an eating contest!
Game 2 of a double header on Sunday, June 20 will feature Brides & Bases. All blushing brides-to-be can visit with local vendors to help plan the wedding of her dreams.
Get your kicks at Clipper Magazine Stadium during Soccer Night on Thursday, June 10.
We’ll be yelling “fore!” instead of “home run!” during Golf Night on Wednesday, June 30.Also NEW for 2010, the team will host weekly pre-game activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first of two weekly promotions fans should mark on their calendars is Quizzo. Fans can team up and test their brain power in this multi-round trivia game in the Wheatland Suite on Tuesdays. Fans can kick off their weekend early each Thursday as the team hosts a pre-game Happy Hour with live music and food and drink specials.In addition to these theme nights, the Barnstormers will light up the night sky with 18 post-game fireworks displays. The party doesn’t end when the fireworks are over because the Barnstormers are hosting on-field post-game parties following every fireworks show during the season and will invite fans onto the field to meet members of the team and socialize with other fans!
Another new addition to the fan experience at the ballpark is the expanded partnership with Hess’s BBQ. Hess’s BBQ is the NEW caterer of the Amelia’s Picnic Pavilion. For just $19.99 fans can pile their plates with savory barbecue favorites Monday through Wednesday. Thursday through Sunday’s 2-hour all-you-can-eat buffet will feature an expanded award-winning barbecue menu for only $28. Both picnic options include your game ticket and scrumptious Hess’s BBQ meal.
