The City of Long Beach has terminated the Long Beach Armada’s permit to play at Blair Field, as the city moves to transfer control of the ballpark to California State University, Long Beach. In response, the Armada owners are ramping up a lawsuit. We haven’t seen the lease agreement to determine the merits of any breach claim on either side, but the team reportedly has $26,ooo in unpaid bills, and a $25,000 letter of credit has expired.
