PRESS RELEASE – The Stockton Ports are proud to help area youth celebrate the holidays by hosting the 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive, which will benefit Mary Graham’s Children Center. Ports fans are encouraged to help the Ports support the community by donating generously. Fans may donate unwrapped new toys at the Ports front office suite at Banner Island Ballpark.
Ports season ticket holders are also asked to bring an unwrapped new toy to the Season Ticket Holder Holiday Party, which will be held on Wednesday, December 16 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodbridge Winery.
“We hope to bring a large dose of holiday joy to the children at the Mary Graham’s Children Center this season through this Holiday Toy Drive,” said Ports Community Relations Manager Mallory Gilman. “The Ports are committed to supporting youth and youth outreach programs, and we’ve been successful in increasing our donations each year in our Holiday Toy Drive, our Anchor Fund and other programs because of the generosity of our fans.”
The Ports donated more than 300 new toys to the San Joaquin County Children’s Services for children in foster care in Stockton in December 2008. Donations doubled in 2008 from the previous year, and the Ports look to again see donations double in 2009.
The Ports thank their fans for their continued support of the Stockton Ports community outreach programs this season.
