The El Dorado Broncos won the National Baseball Congress’ annual baseball tournament this year, and they are still waiting for an $18,000 payout. An NBC official has indicated that the delay is a result of the pending ownership change for the Wichita Wingnuts, but this has apparently been the second year in a row that payment to the tournament champion has been delayed for months. The City of Wichita leases the tournament operations to Wichita Pro Sports, which runs the Wingnuts. A local group is in the process of buying out Horn Chen, who owns 55 percent of the business.
