Sioux City Explorers Continue to Operate in the Red

Information received by the Sioux City Journal shows that the American Association’s Sioux City Explorers lost $413,731 in 2005 and $550,575 in 2006. Explorers to Remain at Lewis and Clark Park – UPDATE

The Sioux City (IA) City Council is expected to approve on Monday a five year extension of the lease with the American Association’s Sioux City Explorers for the use of Lewis and Clark Park.  The deal also includes a food service contract with Distinctive Gourmet. Read more here.  UPDATE:  While the city intends to extend the lease, the agreement was reviewed but not voted on by the council on Monday.  The next hearing on the matter is scheduled for May 10.  Read more here.
