Sioux City Explorers Continue to Operate in the Red
Information received by the Sioux City Journal shows that the American Association’s Sioux City Explorers lost $413,731 in 2005 and $550,575 in 2006. Last season’s attendance of 1,479 per game was the lowest in the team’s history, which indicates the financials haven’t gotten any better. Explorers to Remain at Lewis and Clark Park – UPDATE
The Sioux City (IA) City Council is expected to approve on Monday a five year extension of the lease with the American Association’s Sioux City Explorers for the use of Lewis and Clark Park. The deal also includes a food service contract with Distinctive Gourmet. Read more here.
