Bombers Showcase ‘Twinkie Dog’ on Good Morning America

We are not sure if this was luck, great marketing, or whatever, but hats off to the summer collegiate Battle Creek Bombers (Northwoods League) for securing a live appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America early this morning to showcase their new “Twinkie Dog.”  There are all kinds of new and creative food items introduced each year across the minor-league industry, but for some reason this one caught the eye of the right people.  Watch the GMA appearance here.

Bombers Ink Long-Term Lease Extension, League Targeting Kalamazoo (Updated Link)

The summer collegiate Battle Creek Bombers (Northwoods League) have agreed to a five-year lease extension with the city to continue using C.O. Brown Stadium until 2017, with an option for an additional five years.  Also, as we have discussed before, the Northwoods is targeting Kalamazoo for expansion and hopes to bring them into the fold for 2013.  Read more here.

Bombers Unveil Championship Rings, Logo

The summer collegiate Battle Creek Bombers (Northwoods League) today unveiled the teams 2011 Northwoods League Championship rings and logo.  The rings, designed by Balfour, include the team’s logos, 47-26 record and slogan “Never Panic” as coined by Bombers field manager Donnie Scott.
