2014 MiLB Mascot Mania Underway

Minor League Baseball LogoDefeating the entire MiLB field of mascots last season, LouSeal, the mascot for the Triple-A Columbia Clippers (International League), became the second MiLB.com Mascot Mania champion.  LouSeal is back to defend his title, as the 2014 Mascot Mania competition is underway.  Fans have until August 4 to cast their votes in the initial “League Round.”  Read more and vote here.

’21 and Over Night’ in Schaumburg: A Game Kenny Powers Would Love

Schaumburg Boomers LogoIt began with a beer toast, and then it was jello shots, beer pong, a “swear off,” kilt-clad waiters and waitresses from the The Tilted Kilt “breastuarant” and more, as the indy pro Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League) held “21 and Over Night” last Thursday.  Read more here.  Reported attendance was 2,297.  The Boomers lead the league in attendance with 3,768 fans per game after five games.  It will be back to normal Friday, June 6, as the Boomers host Superhero Night — for the kids!
