Mountaineers Play Last Game at Hawley Field, New Ballpark Under Construction

West Virginia University LogoThe West Virginia University Mountaineers closed out Hawley Field with 12-6 win over the University of Texas Longhorns Sunday before a crowd of 2,237 — the second-largest crowd ever to watch a game at the 44-year-old ballpark.  Read more here.  The Mountaineers will begin play at the new 2,500-seat Monongalia County Ballpark scheduled to open in 2015.  View photo of a simulated game at the new site here.
