Columbia Ballpark Vote Today (UPDATED)

Sand Gnats LogoThe Columbia (SC) City Council is expected to vote Tuesday on a contract to build a $35 million ballpark for an affiliated club.  Under the proposed deal, Hardball Capital would put up $6 million, and the city would bond the remaining $29 million.  Hardball Capital would be on the hook for payments until the total amount of private development in the Bull Street project reaches $60 million.  Read more here.

    City council gave the first approval to fund the more than 30 million dollar project with a 4-3 vote. A final vote is scheduled for March 18.
