The potential drama in Watertown (NY) was all for not. Only one team stepped up to play at Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds for the 2013 season, and it’s the same team that has been playing there for the past decade. The summer collegiate Watertown Wizards (Perfect Game League), now known as the Watertown Rams, are negotiating with the city to extend their lease. Interesting that one other potential suitor was reportedly a “representative from a minor league baseball team in Green Bay, Wis.” apparently representing the “North American Independent Baseball League.” Go figure.
