With hope fading for a new $37 million downtown ballpark for the Single-A Hagerstown Suns (South Atlantic League) after an anonymous private pledge of $15 million failed to materialize, local officials are left to ponder a plan B, which has yet to be developed. Is anybody from Kinston, NC watching any of this?
It is best for the sit tight and see how things develop in the Hagerstown market or elsewhere. The reality is, at 22,000 people, the Kinston market just isn’t that attractive.
