Johnstown May Sell Naming Rights to ‘Point Stadium

The City of Johnstown (PA) is exploring the possibility of selling the naming rights to two local sports facilities, including the rebuilt Point Stadium.  One local argues that even smaller facilities have garnered six figures over 10 years, but that may be overly optimistic.  It’s not just about the facility but the market.  Johnstown has a population of around 20,000 and is nearly 70 miles from civilization in Pittsburgh.  Old Point Stadium was the former home for the indy pro Johnstown Steal/Johnnies (Frontier League) (1995-2002).  Read more here.
