
As reported Friday, Jamie Toole, owner and operator of the summer collegiate Will County CrackerJacks and Illinois Lincolns, withdrew his teams from the Midwest Collegiate League. The league believes his action was taken for financial reasons. Toole says the move was driven by philosophical differences. His two teams will continue to play each other starting next Tuesday for a five-game “Battle of Will County” series. Toole vows to find a new league for his teams. Read more here.

There will be no five-game “Battle of Will County” series. Mr. Toole’s teams — the Will County CrackerJacks and the Illinois Lincolns — ended their “season” last night, negatively impacting his remaining players, managers and coaches and the fans of these teams.
