PRESS RELEASE – Bobbleheads, collectables, and fireworks are just the start of an exciting summer at Memorial Stadium, as the Boise Hawks announced today their promotional schedule for their 38-game home schedule in 2012.
Three giveaways accompany the opening homestand against the Eugene Emeralds – as Opening Night, June 20, fans will receive a Boise Hawks Hat. June 22 and 23 will be dedicated to Hawks hitting coach, Bill Buckner, with “Bring Back the “˜Stache Night” (fans receiving a Buckner Mustache Glass) and “Vote Buckner to Cooperstown Night” – with Reggy the Purple Party Dude entertaining the crowd.
Saturday, June 30, the Hawks will retire jersey No. 3 in memory of Harmon Killebrew, an Idaho legend and member of the Hall of Fame – with fans getting a commemorative No. 3 jersey t-shirt.
Other giveaways throughout the season include a blue Boise Hawks hat (July 4), a Billy Goat Bobblehead as part of “Reverse the Curse Night III” (July 13), Foam Finger Night (July 14), a Bill Buckner Bobblehead (July 28), Baseball Card Night (Aug. 11), and the 2012 Team Poster, part of “Fan Appreciation Night” (Sept. 1).
Nightly promotions will also be a big part of the summer – including two “Mark Down Mondays”, where fans can get outstanding deals through Living Social and Groupon.
Each Tuesday is a “2-for-1 Tuesday, where fans can purchase buy one get one free first-base reserved or box seat tickets.
The popular $1 Wednesday’s return – with dollar hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, and sno-cones, with fans able to purchase $1 first-base reserved or $5 third-base/home plate reserved tickets with their Hawkstown Bracelet.
Happy Hour Thursdays will feature Ladies Night, as women will receive $1 first-base reserve or $5 third-base/home plate reserve tickets and special Happy Hour specials from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday’s will also feature half-price beverages – including beer and Pepsi products, all night long.
Friday’s continue to be Fireworks Friday’s, with a fireworks extravaganza every Friday night at the ballpark, while Saturday’s are Kids Night – featuring giveaways and mascot acts. Sunday’s are Family Funday Sunday’s, as fans can strike out hunger by getting four tickets, four hot dogs, and four Pepsi products for just $34 with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
