The summer collegiate Springfield Sliders (Prospect League) held a press conference Tuesday to announce an ownership change and a new general manager. The Minnesota-based Martin family, which owns and operates movie theaters and other family entertainment venues in Minneapolis, purchased the team from Jesse Bolder. Long-time minor league baseball executive John Dittrich has been named executive vice president and general manager of the franchise. Read more here.
