In little blast from the past, the blog Fun While It Lasted has placed the proposed indy pro Plymouth (MA) River Eels at #81 on the list of defunct or never-got-off-the-ground minor league sports teams. The most interesting tidbit from the posting is that someone representing the Eels apparently showed up at an organizational meeting of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League before it launched last year.
