Special Jerseys, Wand Giveaway Highlight ‘Wizards Night’ in Myrtle Beach

PRESS RELEASE – Thursday, July 14th brings one of the most anticipated promotions the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will be having this season. To commemorate the release of the final installment of the Harry Potter movie series, the Pelicans are hosting Wizards Night at BB&T Coastal Field!

When the Birds take on the Salem Red Sox at 7:05 p.m., the team will be wearing special uniforms that look like Harry’s robe and the duds will be auctioned off after the game! The proceeds from the jersey auction will go towards the Bruce Dal Canton Scholarship Fund and Autism Advocate Foundation.

The fun includes another great giveaway as well, as the first 500 fans ages 12 and under will receive a Wizard Wand! Don’t forget to wear your wizard costume to the ballpark, because there will be a costume contest in the seventh inning, and the winner will take home a Pelicans Prize Pack!

Like every Thursday at BB&T Coastal Field, it’s Thirsty Thursday, featuring one dollar domestic draft beers from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. courtesy of Better Brands, Celebrations Nightlife and the Weekly Surge.

The night ends with a bang as there will be a spectacular fireworks display after the game!

This is only the second night of an eight-game homestand that concludes on Thursday, July 21st. So come out to the ballpark for a great giveaway, some wizardry and a fireworks show! Tickets for all Pelicans home games are available at the BB&T Coastal Field box office, MyrtleBeachPelicans.com, and by phone at 843-918-6000 or 877-918-TIXX.
