We don’t know if Tater, the new mascot for the West Coast League’s inaugural Klamath Falls (OR) Gems, used one of those “cartoon yourself” websites or not, but it appears the rookie fry-fro-haired fan funjector is ready for the world of team merchandising. The Gems will begin play in 2011 at historic Kiger Stadium.
We go to the Gems game almost every home game and my 2 1/2 year old son LOVES Tater. He talks about giving Tater “An eye Fivef” all day long before the game and at the games he runs up to Tater and interacts with him every time he sees Tater get close (within half a stadium). I am also huge Tater fan and glad the Gems have a mascot.
