The former Oneonta Tigers received notification today from Minor League Baseball President Pat O’Connor granting permission for the New York-Penn League franchise to move from Oneonta (NY) to Norwich (CT) and Dodd Stadium. The team will be known as the Connecticut Tigers. Read more here.

I would have actually liked to have seen some creative new branding or at least a return to the Navigators with an updated logo.

Really? So you’re not keeping the name intact so that fans aren’t forced to purchase new merchandise?
